The Etowah County EMA will be hosting a Winter Weather Hazards Science and Preparedness class on November 5, 2026, from 8 am – 5pm. This course is an awareness course taught by the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center from the University of Hawaii. The course will provide the participants with the knowledge and skills in winter weather science, forecasting, warnings, and other best practices.
