T. Patrick Huselton serves as the Public Information Officer for the Etowah County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), where he is responsible for public information, emergency communications, community outreach, and supporting the agency’s mission of preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. Since the establishment of the Etowah County EMA in the fall of 2025, Patrick has played an integral role in building the agency’s public communications program while contributing to several operational and administrative capacities.
Patrick has dedicated nearly 15 years to emergency services, developing a broad and diverse background across multiple public safety disciplines. His career includes service as an emergency dispatcher, police records and evidence technician, emergency management officer, reserve law enforcement officer, reserve sheriff’s deputy, and volunteer firefighter. This multidisciplinary experience has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of emergency operations, incident management, public safety communications, and interagency coordination.
A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Patrick relocated to Rainbow City, Alabama, in 1984 and graduated from Southside High School in 1991. He later attended Jacksonville State University, where he pursues studies in Emergency Management with a minor in Homeland Security, further strengthening the knowledge and skills that have supported his public safety career. Me. Huselton currently holds the Intermediate Level Emergency Manager (ILEM) from the Alabama Association of Emergency Managers.
As Public Information Officer, Patrick is committed to ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent communication before, during, and after emergencies. He works closely with local, state, and federal partners to keep the public informed while promoting preparedness initiatives that strengthen community resilience throughout Etowah County.
Patrick resides in Altoona, Alabama, with his wife, Julie. Together they have four adult children and are proud grandparents. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys cooking, gardening, kayaking, supporting the Atlanta Braves and Auburn Tigers, and spending time with his family.
